Lace
Lace turns a simple ring and rubber cords into a playful fruit bowl. Designed by Jacques Lalo for Maybes in 2018, this independent studio creation uses a laser-cut metal or acrylic ring threaded with flexible rubber cords. As the cords intertwine, they form a nest that holds the fruit. Different colour combinations bring a pop accent to the kitchen. Produced in a small series and previously sold, Lace explores a simple construction that could also lend itself to a do-it-yourself kit.
